Illuxcon V - NEXT WEEK!

Illuxcon V is next week! If you are familiar with this blog at all you will remember my coverage of the last 3 Illuxcons. This will be my fourth time attending and should be the best and most AWESOME Illuxcon yet! I have a lot planned for this year's event, not just my usual awe struck wondering around as I take loads of pictures and then post them all on the blog. Let's get things rolling with a nice image...

The big news for me this year is that I will be hosting a panel and I will be be joined by none other then Wizards of the Coast's own Jon Schindehette! We are going to be talking all about GETTING SERIOUS in the industry! Topics include establishing a strong web presence, networking, setting goals, specialization within the industry, overcoming set backs, etiquette and good practices when handling yourself professionally online, branding, and monsters. For those attending and wanting to not miss out, our panel takes place at noon on Saturday 11/10 in Room 001. You can download the full Illuxcon V program HERE.

If that is not enough, I will be taking part in the Showcase event again this year on Friday 11/09 night from 8pm to midnight. Be sure to come by to see my new never before seen traditional paintings! I will also have plenty of prints, sketchbooks, original drawing, and much more available! It should be a fun time for sure.

If I am not enough of a draw for you, there will also be over 50 of the biggest name in fantasy illustration displaying their work, 2 days full of workshops, lectures, and panels, portfolio reviews with some of the most influential art directors in the industry, and 4 days of concentrated awesomeness! I hope to see you there!

That is all for another exciting week on the blog! See you back here next week for some of the usual fun and a whole lot of Illuxcon awesomeness! Until then...

    1. If you say so :) I am just trying to do my part to give back to the fine folks that make Illuxcon possible and to help out some folks that are at an earlier stage in their career to hopefully weather what they have ahead of them a little easier.

I do appreciate it, but I will disagree with any level of fame placed on me. As humans, we are all equal and are uniquely similar and different.
