Great Old One

You might remember a drawing I shared with you back in February... tentacles, gaping maw... the classics! All the elements that make it right up my alley for some fun. I began working on this painting just before I took up the Mutation Nation gauntlet which meant this critter got pushed to the side. I am happy to say that after an extended break and several other projects I was able to get back to it. Between you and me, I think it is all the better for the break!

How can you go wrong with tentacles? I believe I originally thought of this creature being akin to a mutant or primal Beholder, but after working on it I think it is something far worse and far more powerful. A devourer of worlds maybe?

Now that this piece is done I can focus on some personal work that has really captivated my attention. More on that some other time though... See you back here on Friday! Until then...
