A Second Look at Older Work - Zungar Priest

If you ever asked what I was drawing twenty years ago, this post is for you!

Today, I am sharing a miniature design that I did for the now long-dead miniatures game, Dreamblade. Dreamblade will always be near and dear to me, as it was the first game I ever worked on and one of the times I felt most free as an artist working in the gaming industry. This is the "Zungar Priest" design for an unproduced set of the game.

The Zungar are specifically important to me in the game. I was tasked to design the Zungar for the very first set of the game. They had a description, but I was the one who brought them to life, and then I created a ton of head canon for them that I put into each piece. While I didn't design them all, in some later sets, others were brought into design some minis, but they were all based on my work. I did a lot of personal world-building for these weirdos, and loved every minute of it. I was practicing even then on building worlds and monsters.

That's all for another exciting Monday on the blog. See you back here on Wednesday! Until then...
