The assignment for this week was to take one of the silhouettes from the Usual Suspects assignment and expand it into a finished design. The twist is that everyone had to take another artist's silhouette! For this assignment I selected Ruth Kim's Defender. I found it the most appealing because while it contained a lot on information in it's shape it still left a lot to the imagination. I really enjoyed this assignment and hope that there will be more collaborative projects in store for ArtOrder.
Don't forget to visit ArtOrder every Tuesday to vote for your favorite artist by leaving their name in the comment field of the Concept Tuesday post! A vote for me is a vote for the future!

ReplyDeleteThis project was a lot of fun and I'd like to see some more collaborative stuff too.
Actually, I wouldn't mind working some colour over the top of dude if you're interested?! :)
Yeah, I mentioned to Jon just how much I enjoyed the collaborative aspect of this assignment and hoped there would be more opportunities like this.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds awesome if you want to run with what I have done and add color to it. Do you want to just grab this file or do you want something higher resolution? Just let me know. Really looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
RAWLS, thanks for your kind words and for stopping by! I discovered "The Life of REX BUNYAN" recently and I am hooked :)
