Inifinity Con 2025 Recap

This past weekend was Infinity Con 2025. It is always great to be a part of a local event like this. This year felt super busy, and there were a ton of vendors, guests, artists, activities, panels, and more. I barely saw any of the show as I was always busy at the booth talking to people. Late Sunday, I had a person come up to the booth and tell me that in that moment, it was the first time they had seen me without people at the booth. It was a blast to talk to everyone, catch up with friends, and meet new ones. Once again, I shared the stage with Mark Maddox to talk about monsters and the changing landscape of the industry and our careers. Always a fun time! I would love to tell you more about the con beyond my booth, but like I said, I was just too busy to see much of it while it was going on. I did manage to take a few pictures of the con.

I was thrilled with my location at the show. I was at the end of a row and near a busy path for attendees.

I do love myself a corner booth!

These are the droids I was looking for. The local 501st always puts on a good show.

The AWESOME Tony Buoni gifted me with some treasures!
He is a great guy and has amazing taste in records.

As always, I got to see R2. He was the life of our holiday parties when we used to have them.

A big thanks to Carlin Trammel for moderating the panel with Mark and me.

Carlin, Mark, and I after the panel - they didn't kick us out!

Romans were here...

Another look at the booth on Sunday.

At the least photogenic moment, I took some photos from my booth out into the con. These photos do not remotely do the show justice. Especially on Saturday, at times it was PACKED!

A huge thanks go out to David Heringer for having me as a guest and hosting such a fun event, and all those who attended Infinity Con 2025 and stopped by to learn more about the Grand Bazaar! I hope to see you all at Infinity Con 2026!

That's all for another exciting Wednesday on the blog. See you back here on Friday! Until then...

Infinity Con 2025 Starts TOMORROW!

Infinity Con starts tomorrow in Tallahassee, FL, at the Donald Tucker Civic Center. I will be there with all my monsters and will be surrounded by a lot of other awesome guests, creators, and vendors. I am looking forward to seeing a lot of familiar faces and to meeting many new ones. I hope to see you out there, and do not forget the return of my Mystery Print Bundles!

Come see me and many others at Infinity Con starting tomorrow, July 12th, in Tallahassee, FL, at the Donald Tucker Civic Center!

You will find me and all my monsters at The Abyss booth #1!
And if you have been attending Infinity Con in recent years, you will find me in more or less the same spot I have been previously.

Hold the presses! An unexpected surprise item arrived just in time for the con. STICKERS! For the first time, I will have a small number of Ethra Crest stickers at the shows this summer.

Be one of the first to get your hands on an official Grand Bazaar sticker at Infinity Con this weekend!

Did someone say Mystery Print Bundles!? I will offer MORE discontinued prints in mystery bundles, allowing collectors to obtain prints that are no longer available or were never made available. Each mystery bundle contains three randomly selected prints. All of the prints come signed, and if you are lucky, you may find a print with an ORIGINAL DRAWING along the border, a SURPRISE FOURTH PRINT, or a CERTIFICATE FOR A FREE DRAWING.

The return of the Mystery Print Bundles!
Get yours at Infinity Con this weekend, July 12th and 13th, in Tallahassee, FL.

Here is a look at just a few of the many drawings on prints you might find in the bundles! I made way more drawings on prints than I meant to, so you have a high chance of finding one.

Are you feeling lucky?
If you are, you might find one of these original drawings in your mystery bundle!

That's all for another exciting week on the blog. See you back here next week! Until then...

Mystery Print Bundles Returning for Infinity Con and Gen Con!

I am pleased to share one of the surprises I have in store for you at Infinity Con this weekend, July 12th and 13th! After their massive success at Pensacon, I will be offering MORE discontinued prints in mystery bundles, allowing collectors to obtain prints that are no longer available or were never made available.

Each pack has a potential value of up to $200, and you can obtain one at the convention for only $50! I have a great selection of prints available, and they run the gamut of my work over the years. Included are many fan favorites, high-profile projects, and hidden gems. There will be some of the same prints previously offered at Pensacon, as well as many new print offerings!  Prints available in the bundles may include:

• STAR WARS (LOTS!!!)
• DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (LOTS!!!)
• A GAME OF THRONES
• PATHFINDER
• LEGEND OF THE FIVE RINGS
• CALL OF CTHULHU
• KAIJUDO
• Various MONSTERS
• The GRAND BAZAAR of ETHRA VANDALIA

Each bundle comes sealed, so there is no peeking. As before, I have drawn on the lower corners of many of the prints. To be honest, I did my math wrong and ended up drawing on WAY more prints than I should have, meaning that your chances of getting an original drawing on your print are very high. I think nearly half of the bundles have prints with drawings.

In addition to the drawings on the prints, there are bundles that contain a surprise fourth print. And there is a single bundle that includes a certificate for a free drawing. You MUST return the certificate to me at the convention to get the drawing. I will not be shipping the drawing to the winner. I will repeat that - if you find the winning certificate in your bundle, you must return it to me at the convention to receive it.

Here is a look at just a few of the many drawings on prints that you might find in the bundles!

Are you feeling lucky?
If you are, you might find one of these original drawings in your mystery bundle!

While it is possible, I am confident that I will not sell out at Infinity Con. If we did, that would be amazing, but we planned to have plenty left for Gen Con. It is at Gen Con that I expect to sell out, so if you want to get your hands on these, I will see you at Infinity Con or Gen Con this summer.

My Mietze got involved this time, and you will notice his face stamped on this grouping to mark it as the second wave of print bundles.

I have a lot of bundles to offer this summer, and many have prints with drawings on them!

That's all for another exciting Wednesday on the blog. See you back here on Friday! Until then...

IX 2024 Recap

There has been much to do since IX, which is why my IX 2024 is several weeks late. Much to do, AND it now takes time to Shade and Glaze my images, so it is a double blow to getting posts up quickly after events.

Now that IX 2024 has come and gone and I have had some time to think about it, it was, of course, amazing. Save for last year (which was 110% the fault of my car having a catastrophic unrecoverable event), every year at IX is simply the best. It is a time for celebration, community, fellowship, and art love. You have to go to one to know what I mean. It is a long show, but it also flies by, so there is a bittersweet aspect to it. It is so wonderful, but the moments do fall through your fingers. It was wonderful to see so many friends and familiar faces. IX is usually my last event of the year, and it is such a great completion of the convention year. I feel like I should be saying more, but if you know, you know, and if you haven't attended, you truly owe it to yourself to attend one year, even if you only attend and don't show. Here are some photos from IX 2024.

The Google Works building is where it all happens (except the Showcase, which is at the Double Tree).
They are in the midst of doing some major updates and renovations to the building. We saw just a little bit of their work while at the show, but they had displays of what they planned to do, and it was all very impressive. They will be bringing a lot to the building and the community.

My booth this year. IX is the one place I can bring the entire Grand Bazaar.
All of my available with were on display, as well as prints, MtG APs, books, and more were with me this year.
Not to mention the rug and chairs!

I tried to do a better job getting photos of the show this year. Here is a photo from the first floor.

Here is the second floor where I was set up.

Peaking out from the Grand Bazaar at the rest of the second floor.

I took part in the first of two Magic the Gathering artist proof drawing sessions.
I was seated at a table with Donato Giancola, which, you know, is super cool. It was surreal to be sitting there as peers doing parallel play as we drew, painted, and talked. FUN TIMES!!!

The Ancient Carp I did during the session - SOLD

The Festering Mummy I did during the session - AVAILABLE!

The artist jam session returned this year, and there was some serious rocking to be had.

Here are some additional photos from the first floor of IX this year.

The Showcase was amazing, as always, and there was so much great art and excitement in the room.

AND there was Destro with an actual (mini) HISS tank! Grant Cooley killed it with the costume this year!

So, more photos from the second floor.

And some photos from the fourth floor.

A little salivating raccoon on an artist proof.

All good things must come to an end.
After helping others, I was in a mad dash to get packed up and out of the way as the walls came down.

Where there was once IX on the second floor, there is now only space...

...as with the first floor.

A new tradition has been to get dinner together at a great Asian restaurant around the corner from the hotel. They can take a massive crowd, and we chair-hop to chat with everyone.

Another amazing year, the 17th IX, to be exact. Here is to 17 more! We are already looking ahead to IX 18 in 2025. I hope to see you there!

That's all for another exciting Wednesday on the blog. See you back here on Friday! Until then...
