I am thrilled to share another new piece from The Grand Bazaar of Ethra VanDalia! This illustration is for Book Two: The Completed Circle and is the first of two key locations in the Grand Bazaar featured in the story, the Encounter at the Poisoned Dagger. At the end of a small alley in an unremarkable corner of the Grand Bazaar you will find a tavern with a long history, many owners, and excellent offerings. The Poisoned Dagger, as it came to be known, is one of two locations in the Grand Bazaar that appear in the original Completed Circle tale. Take a rest, have a drink, but watch your coins.

As a bonus, I have some images of the rendering process of this piece so that you can get a better idea of it taking shape. I used to speak of my tried and true method of working on these pieces. I had one way and that was the only way. These days the pieces tell me how they want to manifest. Right to left? Sure, why not!? Gone are the days of working back to front, top to bottom.
