A week from today at Gen Con, I will be part of the panel, Rolling for Wisdom: Navigating AI's Impact on Tabletop Gaming! In addition to myself, the panelists will include Elizabeth Hargrave, Steve Hobbs, Justin Gary, and Brian Lewis. The short description: Industry leaders from design, publishing, and law gather for a civil, nuanced conversation about AI's impact on tabletop gaming — and how the community can shape what comes next.
And the long description: What role should AI play in the games we design, publish, and love? Some see an existential threat to the artists and designers who make this industry what it is. Others see a tool that could expand creative possibility. Most fall in between, hungry for a conversation deeper than social media shouting. This panel isn't here to settle the debate. We're here to do something harder: have an honest, respectful conversation about a genuinely difficult issue, in front of a community that cares deeply about the outcome. Our goal is to set a tone. If we can show that people with different perspectives can sit at the same table, listen, and find common ground, we can lay the foundation for an industry initiative to develop humane best practices for how AI intersects with tabletop game creation. Next week will see the start of Gen Con 2026! The best four days in gaming will once more roll for initiative in Indianapolis, IN, this coming July 30 - August 2. I will be returning to the Art Show after missing last year due to a last-minute emergency (everyone is totally okay!).
I will have all my monsters and, of course, some surprises that I will be sharing with you throughout the week. We will be in a slightly different location than I have been previously. Typically, you will find us in the lower left quadrant near the out rows, but this year, you will find us way up in the upper right quadrant, one row in at table 86. In some ways, it should be easier for you to find us! I hope to see you in Indianapolis next week!

I'll be completely honest, convention session snuck up on me. I have been nearly completely focused on writing, and before I knew it, Infinity Con was here, and I wasn't ready. Both physically and mentally. I just was not ready to do a con yet. Do not get me wrong, I love Infinity Con, and I was excited to do it, just not ready to do it. But once I got to set up, everything changed. The vibe was there, and the excitement and energy were contagious, and before I knew it, I was in the right brain space to booth. Even though Pensacon was only in February, it felt like years since I set up the booth. We were in an AMAZING location this year, and I hope that we can return to the exact spot.
Friday night saw the first Infinity Con Drink & Draw fundraiser, and in my opinion, it was a raging success. Loads of people showed up, art was made, art was bought, and drinks were drunk. It was a fun, fun time, and I hope that we see its return next year. Once the doors opened Saturday morning, it did not stop until Sunday evening. I haven't seen the likes of the crowd on Saturday. Tallahassee understood the assignment and showed up, it was a delight to see. While there were many familiar faces, there were many, many new faces, which is exciting to see. I was on two great panels, with the second, a panel on world-building, being my favorite of all the panels I have done at this event. It was from start to finish a wonderful weekend, and I got to talk a lot about the Bazaar, making monsters, and being an artist. Thank you, Tallahassee, David Heringer, for having me as a guest and hosting such a fun event, the entire IC staff, and the infamous Dr. Shanks and Mr. Maddox.

I hope to see you out there tonight, July 10th, at the pre-party Drink & Draw fundraiser at Amicus Brewing from 7-10 PM, and ALL weekend at Infinity Con this July 11th and 12th! Tonight, grab some food from the onsite food truck, your choice of alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage, hang out with guest artists, and bid on a piece of original art! And tomorrow and Sunday, there will be tons of fun for the entire family and loads to do on a hot Tallahassee weekend.
It is even easier to find me this year as I am the first booth when you walk into the show! You will find me at booth C1, which will be the first booth to your left when you arrive. It has never been easier to stock up on all your monster needs!

I am thrilled to announce that I will be returning as a guest to Infinity Con this coming July 11th and 12th in Tallahassee, FL. Infinity Con is a fantastic event, and it is always a joy to share my work with those in Tallahassee. Getting to sleep in your bed while also doing a convention is a treat. I will bring the Grand Bazaar with me again, so you can expect books, art, enamel pins, mystery print bundles, some new art, and more! I will share any additional details as we get closer to the event. Mark your calendars, and I will see you at the Donald Tucker Civic Center in less than a month.

Over this past weekend, we enjoyed ourselves at Pensacon 2026. Pensacon is the start of our convention season and is one of our most fun events. They take amazing care of us at Pensacon, and it is an absolute blast sharing the Grand Bazaar with so many people. We were in our usual spot along the artist ring above the vendor floor. I do not have enough good things to say about Pensacon, and a massive thanks to Mike Ensley, Julio Diaz, Lemmie Crews, and the entire Pensacon team for making a truly special event. And a shout out to the art family that we are surrounded by at the show. I have been incredibly busy with writing and working, which left much of the preparation for the show was done very last minute. I was writing until the last moment and then some while at the show. But in the end, I needed a little break from things, and Pensacon was the perfect choice. Here are some images and thoughts from the show.
