This is the biggest drawing I have done in a long long time. I actually had to work on it at my drawing table exclusively instead of dragging it around with me and working on it little by little here and there. Making a ever more conscience effort to document my drawings I have for you some images of the process...

As mentioned above, the Children of Yuletide show opened this past Friday night. While I could not attend I was able to steal some images of the opening off the internet (THANKS, MIKE!) It sure looks like a fun time! Look at all that art! You can see my piece in the center of both photos...

Awesome! I love the feet hanging out of his sack-thing I'm hoping to visit the show sometime soon :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mike! Let me know how the show looks in person! I wish I could make it... but it is a little far to just stop by.
DeleteThe drawing turned out fantastic. Your Krampus design is great; I especially like how the jingle bells contrast with the fierce monster. And the feet all tightly packed in his sack take it to a much darker place then other Krampus illustrations I've seen, which is just perfect for monsters and make it stand out. Any plans to do a painting of this for yourself in the future?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lance! Glad to hear you are enjoying it! I had originally planned for this piece to be a little more mixed media in its final incarnation, but in the end it is just pencil on paper and will remain that way. I think this piece is done for now. I have other pieces I need and want to work on. :)
